After taking pictures from this vantage for years, this is unlike the thousands I have in my archives, for the strength of this bolt of lightning relieved a look into the storm and the position of each rain drop.

Steve, Sometimes I really can feel a charge in the air, the night I captured this image of lightning was one of the strongest storms I have seen here. Lightning bolts like this put things in perspective for me, we (as individuals) are like a drop of rain in the face of nature.
